A Plantation Wedding

Plantations were once the heart of the south.  They were a place where gentlemen escorted their southern bells and slaves worked the rich soils.  Plantations sculpted a way of life, that was ultimately ended by the Civil War.  Although that way of life has vanished, some of these plantations (although no longer operating in their original purpose but now for tourism) still exist.  In Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind, Scarlett's father tells her that "...land is the only thing worth workin' for, worth fightin' for, worth dyin' for, because its the only thing that lasts."
It may not have been Tara, but the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens near Charleston, South Carolina is one such plantation that has survived through the Revolutionary War as well as the Civil War.  It was first founded in 1676 by the Drayton family and today contains the oldest public gardens in America.  With this long lasting land, why not make it the destination for a wedding and foundation for an everlasting marriage?
Why, there's some southern bells!
Southern bells have to watch their reputations, so I refrained from frolicking down this roadway.
How can life be soooo beautiful?
If trees could speak, this one would say "Roar!"
Straight out of a storybook.
Gates and gardens.
I mustache you, where did you get your socks?
Because who wouldn't put apples in a centerpiece?  Can we get some caramel over here?
La, la, la, laaaaaa!
Some goodlookin' wedding guests.
There must be a prince and princess somewhere around here.....living out their happily ever after....
Isaac Newton stood on the shoulders of giants.  This right here is one of my giants.....and my date for the night.
Reflections.
On the edge of the world.
And just through there, you will find fairies waging war on ugly, keeping these grounds gorgeous.  No really.
Through the looking glass....or something like that.
The bride and her father.
I found them!  A prince and a princess beginning their happily ever after.
May you grow more in love with each passing day.....
Our view for the reception.  Now all we need is some deer drinking at the brook.  Could someone bring me more of those fried green tomatoes as well?
Keep the flame alive!
Their first dance as a married couple to none other than Bob Marley.
Now that was a pretty cheesy blog.  Don't get used to it :)
