Happy 9-Month Birthday!!

ADub is 9 months old today!  This month has been a whirlwind with prepping for a move, finishing up rotations, and chasing my now mobile son around.  ADub, you are my constant (even though you are growing everyday) in this changing world.  Thank you for reminding me that there are bigger (much bigger) things in life than a silly presentation or cross-country move.  Happy Birthday, baby Dub!!
Accomplishments this month:

  • ADub is CRAWLING and pulling up on everything.  The kid has no fear, and for that, my mattress is officially sitting safely on the floor off of its box springs; no close calls, here.  Safety first.
  • High fives all around!  Yes, the Dubs can participate in this good old American gesture of high fiving.
  • He has finally established the art of untying shoes...and then proceeding to get the laces sopping wet with his made-with-love drool.  Even though he doesn't wear shoes, we've started to work on tying shoes.
  • His bouncing skills are out of this world.  Look out, world renowned bouncers, there's a new kid on the block.
  • We are still working on sign language.  At this point, he just laughs at us when we sign "finished" and "more".
  • ADub will now share his toys when asked.  Thank goodness!  We wouldn't want to raise some selfish rugrat.
And now for those photographic moments....
This is how the cool kids are wearing their hats.  Spread the word.
My first flapjack experience.  I may have eaten almost half of that thing....No guilt.
Only Cardinal's fans understand the true beauty of a good red.
Wise word: sometimes the most direct route is not always the easiest.
Just a bunch of beggars.
Hanging with dad by the pool.  Clearly I get my stud-ly-ness from my daddy.
It's a beached SHARK!!!! (feasting on Cheerios)
This could quite possibly be the. best. day. ever.
Speedboating with daddy-o.
Maya was teaching me how to breakdance.
My first trip to a winery.  I'm allowed to eat the grapes, just not the stuff in the bottle.
Hangin' with my uncle.  He's going to be a daddy real soon!
And this was my first trip to a real old-time soda shoppe.  Yes, it's spelled with two P's.  This whole spelling thing can be quite confusing.
Tell your friends!  It's a summer block PARTY!!
I have to admit; I come from a line of fine-looking ladies.  (insert catcall)
Playing with my much older and wiser cousin.
Some of my cousins hanging out with my Grandma.
When I should be sleeping......
Puppy kisses the size of my face.
My first Cardinal's game with Nana and Grandpa.
I was a little worried that I wouldn't enjoy my first baseball game (seeing that my parents are die hard fans).  However, I immensely enjoyed it from the goings on on the field to the old lady sitting behind us high-fiving me.
"Talk to the hand"
Pops loved my hat so much that he got one for himself.
Father's Day was a real geeky event.
Mom really knows how to construct a toy-hanging device.
Peek-a-boo reached a whole new level whenever dad started playing it over FaceTime.
The real question is: Did that piece of pancake make it to my mouth?
My dad isn't cool enough to pull off his fedora.
I AM CRAWLING!!!!
Just a sneak peak of our photoshoot with Grandpa.
