Happy 10-Month Birthday!

ADub is 10 months old today!  Yes, he is finally in the double digits.  The little guy has been the constant in my ever-changing life this past month.  With my final days of school, a move from Indy to Chicago, then another move from Chicago to Houston, and the start of a new job, ADub has been with me the entire way (and Maya too).  ADub, you are my drive and the main reason I have followed my dreams and found the perfect job.  Happy Birthday, little buddy!!
Accomplishments this month:

  • ADub has learned to, how do you say, "Bust a move."  With having a classically-trained ballerina as a mother, it was inevitable that this little Baryshnikov would emerge. 5-6-7-8!!
  • He now likes to take things out of bags and boxes and place them into other bags and boxes.  At work just the other day, I went to get my wallet out of my bag only to find that it had been replaced with a ball.  So much for paying for parking.  Oh, and the green block that has been missing for weeks was just located in Pop's shoe.
  • ADub is still not clapping, but who needs to do that when others should be clapping for him instead.
  • "Ophelia" by the Lumineers remains his all-time favorite song.  He made me listen to it 17 times on our way from Chicago to Salem.  It was either that or scream-like crying.
  • This kid is an absolute water bug.  He squeals at the sight of the pool or bathtub.  Plus, he kicks his feet on demand.  We are working on blowing bubbles, but right now, he only does a quick dip of his face.
  • His first word my friends: "Bob."  Okay, so maybe it's just a sound that he makes over and over....and over and over again.  Bob-bob-bob-bob....
Say "CHEESE":
This isn't a tearful face but one of true excitement.  Why, you may ask?  Because ADub is getting ready to eat his first (turkey) cheeseburger!!!  (From Bru Burger...duh)
My two kids helping me pack up things in Indy.  I think Maya proceeded to fall asleep, and ADub got stuck in that position.
Choking hazard?
Silly.
ADub's first box....with sock monkey lurking in the shadows.
Just a stroll through the park with some nature in hand.
First teeth brushing!!!  Dental hygiene is very important.
No pool in IL home, so we make our own!
FIRST swing!!!  Like seriously, his favorite thing in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
FIRST slide ride.  Mom's butt did not care for this too much.
And so the mischief begins....
Freedom is an eagle formed by Coca-Cola products.
Celebrating Grandma B's birthday.
Cracker Barreling it with Nana.
Horseplay.
The Lazy Susan turned merry-go-round.  I'm not sure who's more excited.
Getting ready to board for Houston, our new home.
A true Texan eats their first eggs stuffed inside a Kolache.
FIRST shoes!!  They are old man sandals, but they were designed for walking....and that's just what he'll do.
You only said "keep your elbows off the table" and never "keep your feet off the table."
My two water bugs.  Pops, we miss you so much!!  Move to TX already!
Mommy went to her first day of work.....
.....ADub cried.
Enjoying the 100 degree weather by playing some sand volleyball.  ADub was a fan of, well, the fans.
Helping Daddy pack to return to our summer home in Illinois.
Taking things out of the box.....
....Putting things into the box.
Brushing the 6 teeth all by himself.  Such a grown up.
Taking a book inventory with Cousin K-D-did and Maya.
My driving force.  Love you, Baby Dub!
