Happy 6-Month Birthday!!

ADubXX has hit the halfway mark today.  These past 6 months have been exhaustingly amazing, and I wouldn't change a single moment.  Happy Half-Birthday, sweet pea!

And for the big happenings of the month:

  • ADubXX started daycare just this past week, and she has already brought home a runny nose and a grunt that apparently all of her new friends are doing.
  • She has become a little sitter.  Although we are only competing with the amateurs currently, I think she will be going pro soon enough.  Look out all those with a sit talent.
  • Although ADubXX has not been too keen on lullabies at bedtime, she has started to take a liking to many showtunes with "Seasons of Love" from Rent.
  • Just this past week, she started wearing her helmet to straighten out her severe plagiocephaly, which happens to be a fancy work for flattened head.  That's what we get for having a good sleeper and laid back baby....a crooked head.  (Plus, we have to fix it because of those future braids, let alone sinus issues, ear issues, etc.)
  • Our girl loves to eat when everyone else does and enjoys anything from bananas to peas and carrots.  Even Cheerios have become a favorite.
  • She laughs at her brother's crazy antics, and he certainly can turn her crying to smiles with just a few growls or fake gunshots noises (boys!).
And now for the photo shoot:
Spending a little time together after her first day of school.

Can't forget about the pups.
This is life.  This is us.
She met a Great Grandma.
She met a Great Grandpa.
She met yet another Great Grandma.
A little bit of a daddy's girl.
Always watching her big brother.
And now for the many faces of ADubXX.
"The look" that I am sure to get especially during those teenage years.
The "that's amazing" face.
The surprise face.
A little tummy time.
Spending some time by the pool.
Our little sun (but mostly in the shade) baby.
Check out her new ride.
And now for the pool faces.
We celebrated Father's Day, and boy, do they have a good one!
Mommy's attempt at foot and paw prints.
Traffic jam in the kitchen.
She road on a unicorn!
Cheerio time!
Moments before receiving her helmet.
The crookedness.
....and there it is.
This is how the fan becomes her best friend.
....and she takes it wherever she goes.
.....and even sleeps with it.
We had to bling up her new crown.
Thank goodness, momma has a Cricut and can vinyl just about anything.
Thousands of toys, but fortune cookies are way more entertaining.
She spent more quality time with her cousin.
Daddy took the kids to the zoo by himself.  I was impressed....like really impressed.
My family circle.
